100 Black Men of America, Inc. (The 100) improves the quality of life for the communities we serve. Mentoring is the core service delivery of The 100, the largest network of African American male mentors in the nation. We influence and transform the lives of underrepresented and disenfranchised youth, focusing on African American youth. Through our platform of Mentoring The 100 Way ®Across A Lifetime, we provide programmatic services in education, health and wellness, economic empowerment, and leadership development, which makes a fundamental difference in the lives of the youth we touch and the communities we serve.

Like 100 Black Men of America, Students of Strength is dedicated to improving the conditions of our communities through education and moral support to ensure personal and professional success.  We believe that by setting examples in our communities, we can improve the lives of the people that need it most. 

The 100 + SOS

SOS has worked with multiple 100 chapters on a variety of initiatives. We partnered with the Los Angeles chapter to provide a selection of their young scholars with a deep-dive SAT preparation course. We are particularly proud of our sustained partnership with the Prince George's County chapter, which has been active since the fall of 2020. In this program, our two organizations came together to provide historically under-served students with much-needed academic tutoring, primarily focused on math and literacy. This initiative was vital, particularly in light of the effects COVID-19 had on the learning outcomes of students of color.

Prince George's County participating families reported an average program satisfaction rating of 4.75 out of 5.
